Things just got a little more complicated in the Jason, Sam and Drew love triangle. While insisting that she is madly in love with Drew despite Jason’s return, Sam realizes that she has been holding onto a piece of her former lover on the Friday, Dec. 15 episode of “General Hospital.”

Following an emotional conversation with Jason (Steve Burton) on the pier, Sam (Kelly Monaco) notices that the wedding ring on her finger was given to her by Jason years ago, and that her marriage to Drew (Billy Miller) could be damaged.

In the promo for the upcoming episode, Sam can be seen telling Jason that she is married to Drew, but later on in the video, it seems like her words have no ground to stand on.

Drew is seen talking to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who reveals that he and Sam aren’t legally married. Diehard “GH” fans will remember that Sam and Jason got married years ago. However, when Jason disappeared,Sam was simply left to mourn.

When Drew arrived, everyone believed he was Jason and Sam never filed for divorce. So while she may love Drew, he is not legally her husband, but Jason is.

At the pier, Sam admitted that she felt guilty for asking Jason to help Drew when he was in jail, but she knew she would be able to count on him to make things right. She also confessed to feeling bad about focusing all of her attention on Drew when Jason was also going through a tough time.

Although Sam has continuously told everyone that she loves Drew, it seems like she is repeating herself as a way to make others believe that her heart is loyal to him.

After having such an emotional conversation with Jason on the pier, there is no telling how Sam will react when her mother confirms her marriage to Drew isn’t real. Will she stick around and continue the relationship with Drew after believing he was the same man she loved years ago?

Or will she decide to be with the real Jason now that she is not legally obligated to honor a marriage with Drew?
