It will be a day of heartbreak and empathy as the residents of Port Charles deal with unexpected challenges. On the Wednesday, September 5 episode of “General Hospital,” Drew will demand to know the truth about Oscar while Sam helps Kristina.

In the previous episode of the ABC soap opera, Jason (Steve Burton) took Oscar (Garren Stitt) to the hospital after the teen suffered from a seizure. When Kim (Tamara Braun) saw her son being rushed in, she made the staff hold off on testing and instead waited for the pediatric oncologist.

“General Hospital” spoilers reveal Kim shares a devastating secret. Seeing as Kim wanted Oscar to see an oncologist, it appears the teen may have some form of cancer or blood disorder.

In the ABC promo video, Kim is seen in tears as Drew (Billy Miller) asks her what she is keeping from him. The concerned father then demands to know what’s wrong with their son. “GH” spoilers reveal Drew is flummoxed.

Before Drew arrived at the hospital, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) told Kim she doesn’t have to go through Oscar’s situation alone. The nurse encouraged Kim to share the details with her or at least reach out to Drew so he could support her.

However, Kim explained that she didn’t know how to tell Drew his son is dying. She admitted Oscar suffered from seizures since he was a kid and she has been waiting for it to happen again.

Liz warned Kim that she kept secrets from Drew in the past and it didn’t end well. Whatever Kim does choose to share about Oscar will baffle his father, but will he be able to support Kim through this difficult time after learning she kept their son’s critical condition a secret?

Elsewhere in the promo video, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) reveals she has the perfect job for Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth). Spoilers reveal Sam (Kelly Monaco) is supportive. Although Kristina is glad to be back in PC for good, she was planning on finding herself. However, that will be difficult to do if Alexis is the one making decisions about her life.

Luckily, her big sister will have her back, but how will Sam manage to put some distance between Kristina and Alexis?
