It will be a day of mourning for the residents of Port Charles as they are forced to say goodbye to an important baby boy. On the Tuesday, August 21 episode of “General Hospital,” Michael and his family will be overcome with emotion due to Nelle’s lie as Sam connects with Jason.

The time has come to mourn Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Michael’s (Chad Duell) baby and those closest to the young father are having a hard time letting go. In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Sam (Kelly Monaco) tells Jason (Steve Burton) she wouldn’t have survived if she didn’t have him to hold on to. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal Sam reflects on her loss.

Fans may recall the heartbreaking loss Sam endured years ago when she gave birth to a stillborn baby girl. Although Sonny (Maurice Benard) was the father of the baby, Jason and Sam bonded during her pregnancy and she even named the child after Jason’s grandmother, Lila (Anna Lee).

As the two leaned on one another following baby Lila’s death, they eventually fell in love. Now that Jason and Sam are forced to say goodbye to another innocent little one, will they grow closer as they help one another get through this tragic loss?

In the ABC promo video, Michael tells his loved ones he wants to be alone when he says goodbye to his son. Later on, Carly (Laura Wright) tells Sonny that they don’t have to face this loss alone. “GH” spoilers reveal Sonny consoles Carly.

In the previous episode, Carly told Sonny she was concerned about Michael because he put up so many walls and wouldn’t let anyone in following the death of his son. Although she worried he was slowly crumbling, Sonny assured her Michael would get through this loss.

Now that the funeral has arrived, it looks like Carly requires Sonny’s words of wisdom once again as she tearfully attends her grandson’s funeral. Will Sonny provide Carly with the support she needs to get through this emotional day or will they both break down while saying goodbye to the baby they believe is their grandson?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
