'The Genetic Detective' Preview: CeCe Moore Investigates New Details Surrounding Ramsey Street Rapist Case
On Tuesday, "The Genetic Detective" will follow CeCe Moore as she examines a series of previously-unsolved rapes that occurred in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Throughout the new episode of the ABC crime show, the genetic genealogist will discover new details that emerge in the case as she works to bring the person responsible to justice.
Between the years of 2006 to 2008, a string of unsolved crimes baffled and haunted the residents of North Carolina. These would go unsolved until Moore's entrance. After taking on the case, the investigative genealogist used her specific methods in order to track down the suspect in an unusual way as she partnered with the Fayetteville Police Department.

The fresh episode of the true crime show will feature new interviews with a range of people who were directly affected by what took place. Survivor Kobi Haschen, who came forward to tell her story, will speak about her experience. According to Sunny 94.3, Haschen was the fourth woman victimized by the man who would later become known as the "Ramsey Street Rapist."
On August 23, 2018, Haschen thanked Moore in a tweet for her commitment to tracking down the man who committed the crime. As seen in the tweet below, she stated that she had waited almost 11 years for someone to be held accountable. After sharing her thoughts on social media, Moore herself responded and expressed her appreciation regarding her decision to speak about her experience.
Furthermore, Haschen also discussed the ABC show earlier this year when it premiered. At that time, she said she believed that had it not been for Moore's hard word that her case would not have been solved.
Tuesday night's new episode will also showcase other important voices surrounding the case of the "Ramsey Street Rapist," including Fayetteville Police Department’s Lieutenant John Somerindyke, former supervisor Lieutenant Kellie Berg, sexual assault nurse examiner Liz Herring, and reporter Paul Woolverton, according to a press release.
The new episode of "The Genetic Detective," called "The Phantom of Ramsey Street," will air Tuesday night at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
