Genevieve Morton Named ?Sexiest Woman In The World 2012? By FHM South Africa [PHOTOS]

Model Genevieve Morton was just named the Sexiest Woman in the World by FHM South Africa last week, but who is the blonde bombshell everyone can't stop talking about?

Morton, 26, is quickly making a name for herself in the international modeling world, having scored her first spread in Sports Illustrated in 2010. Nowadays, you can see the South African-born model on the July issue of FHM South Africa, which hit newsstands on Wednesday.

Shooting with the magazine is always fun and always allows me to feel sexy and express myself, Morton said of the July issue.

Morton was born in Benoni and lived there with her family until she was 12-years-old before moving to Scottburgh. She began modeling after finishing school, during which time she entered a few beauty pageants, and moved to Cape Town in 2006 to pursue her career, BizCommunity reported.

I'm excited. It didn't seem possible at all in the beginning. But, I made it. It's truly an honour to know readers think I'm worthy of this title, Morton said this week, according to the Saturday Star.

But for Morton, winning the title of Sexiest Woman for FHM was the cherry on her modeling career sundae.

Winning this title is great for my career but personally it also means a lot to me as I've been working with FHM for a long time, Morton said. It does make me blush when anyone mentions my win, but then again the idea of what makes someone sexy can differ from person to person. I personally see the appeal of girls like Candice Swanepoel and Kate Upton - to me they're very sexy.

And the July 2012 cover is not Morton's first time working with FHM South Africa. According to the magazine, Morton was first photographed by FHM at the end of 2006 for a calendar. She appeared in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, which she said was a huge feat for her career.

That is one of my career highlights. It certainly opened a lot of doors for me. Through that I landed up on David Letterman's show. That exposure has been tremendous, she said.

But Genevieve Morton does not hope to stop there. Having blown up in the modeling scene, she hopes to achieve her ultimate goal: Breaking into the American market.

My other goals are to grace the cover of the American Sports Illustrated or to feature in a really good movie. That would be awesome, Morton said.
