'Genshin Impact' Accidentally Leaks Official Raiden Shogun Kit Details
KEY POINTS
- New information about Baal reportedly surfaced online recently
- "Genshin Impact" 2.0 will introduce Baal or Raiden Shogun as an NPC
- Update 2.0 is scheduled to roll out on July 21
The official kit of the highly anticipated "Genshin Impact" character, including her weapon may have been inadvertently leaked by miHoYo itself.
Chinese game developer miHoYo held the "Genshin Impact" 2.0 Special Program titled "The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia" over the weekend. Right after the said program, the official Discord of the hit gacha game updated its characters' information channel. Surprisingly, industry insiders discovered that the update included the official kit details of Raiden Shogun or Baal.
Interestingly, a few days after the update, those said details are no longer available. However, that does not mean that no one got a screenshot of it. Twitter user SsukunaaA apparently saved a copy of the update, which provided fans with the kit details of Raiden Shogun or Baal.
Based on the screenshot, Raiden Shogun or Baal is an electro character and uses an Electro Vision. Her weapon is reportedly a sword and her affiliation is The Seven. This is the first time that the game's official Discord channel removed details like these after they have been posted online.
Fans have mixed opinions on this recent stunt that miHoyo developers pulled off. Some think that the devs may have posted a wrong set of details and the reason why they took it down is to prevent the spread of erroneous details about Baal or Raiden Shogun. Several others believe that those details were not yet allowed to be shared online and the update was erroneously made, thus it was later removed from the Discord channel.
Based on the recent "GenshinImpact" 2.0 Special Program, players will see Baal or Raiden Shogun in the next update as a non-playable character (NPC). In other words, she will not be a playable character just yet. It was earlier leaked that Baal might arrive in Update 2.1, but according to a recent leak from industry insider Genshin Report, she won't become a playable character in the upcoming update.
It is still unknown when miHoYo will launch Baal as a playable character in "Genshin Impact." But, fans can expect more leaks about her in the coming days. Update 2.0 is scheduled to roll out on July 21.
