KEY POINTS

  • Fischl can be a great Physical or Elemental damage dealer
  • She can still be useful even while off-field
  • Fischl synergizes well with Cryo and Hydro characters

“Genshin Impact's” Fischl is a versatile Electro archer that can be played either as a sub-DPS or main DPS depending on her build. There’s some debate in the “Genshin Impact” community on how she’s best played, but for players who simply want to explore Fischl’s potential, here are some tips on how to use her effectively.

Fischl’s Playstyle

Fischl’s playstyle revolves around her raven familiar Oz, regardless of her role.

Whenever Fischl activates her abilities, Oz will remain on the field and act as a turret. He will constantly hit enemies with bolts of lightning that inflict Electro damage, priming them for Elemental Reactions like Overload and Superconduct.

This is what makes Fischl such an effective secondary DPS character in “Genshin Impact.” Her utility can be used even when she’s off-field, making her a great unit for proccing Superconduct for Physical-damage-based teams. Her high attack speed also makes her a viable main DPS for Superconduct teams, essentially doubling her value.

However, her Elemental Skill’s long cooldown means she will have to maximize her windows of opportunity to deal as much damage as possible before Oz disappears from the field.

Best Fischl Builds

Fischl can use either Physical or Electro DMG builds depending on her role. She can easily act as the main DPS in an Electro/Cryo team thanks to her attack speed and consistent Electro application.

Players who prefer other Physical damage carries like Razor can instead rely on an Electro DMG setup on Fischl to maximize her off-field DPS potential.

The Pale Flame set is great for maximizing Fischl’s normal attack damage while Oz is present. Alternatively, the Thundersoother and Tenacity of the Millelith sets can also work well with her. Keep in mind that artifact stats take higher priority than actual artifact set bonuses.

As for artifact stats, Main DPS Fischl should aim to stack as much ATK%, Phys DMG% and CRIT stats to maximize her normal attack damage. A bow like Rust or Compound Bow is ideal as their passives boost basic attack damage.

Sub-DPS Fischl can build Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery instead, with the former taking priority over the latter unless she goes with an Electro-Charged-centric team.

Team Synergies

Fischl can fit in any Electro-based team like Physical teams or Electro/Hydro parties. She can be paired with Cryo supports like Diona to proc Superconduct with, and she works very well with Hydro carries like Childe for those AoE Electro-Charge procs.
