KEY POINTS

  • The Never-Ending Battle event is focused on quickly clearing waves of enemies
  • Momentum is a very important mechanic for this event
  • Area-of-effect attacks are extremely valuable for the encounters in this event

The final event for “Genshin Impact” 1.6 is live, and some players may find this one to be a little harder than expected. The Never-Ending Battle event is all about speed and power, forcing players to push themselves to eliminate all enemies as quickly as possible to gain the most points.

While the entire event can be done with a friend or two, players who prefer to go solo can obtain those gold medals just as easily so long as they keep a few things in mind. Damage is everything in this event, but quick thinking and proper preparation can significantly increase one’s chances of success.

Here are a few tips on how to get gold solo in “Genshin Impact’s” Never-Ending Battle event.

Hit The Momentum Discs

Momentum plays a critical role in this event. Filling the Momentum bar grants players powerful buffs, and ideally, it should be kept at max level at all times. Eliminating enemies grants a small charge to the bar, but the Momentum Discs can grant significantly more.

The discs periodically appear around the challenge area, but they despawn after 15 seconds. Players should always try to hit these targets, but they should prioritize attacking enemies first. Try to hit the discs during the short downtime between waves so as not to waste any precious time.

Use Area-Of-Effect Attacks

Most of the challenge nodes will throw waves upon waves of weak enemies toward the player, so it’s best to come equipped with strong AoE attacks to compensate.

Noelle is a great candidate for clearing these challenges quickly thanks to her Elemental Burst and her spin-to-win Charged Attack. Alternatively, Anemo characters who can group enemies together can set the entire team up for big combos that can wipe waves instantly.

Kazuha, Sucrose and Venti are excellent for this event because of their CC abilities.

Mind The Challenge Modifier

Every challenge comes with a unique modifier similar to the Spiral Abyss’ buffs. These effects are very powerful, and players should always try to exploit them as best they can.

Using low-level characters just to make use of a challenge modifier is often worth doing as long as there is at least one party member who can deal enough DPS.
