'Genshin Impact' Leaks: Faruzan Ability Overview

The next big patch for "Genshin Impact" is set to introduce two new playable Anemo characters to the game along with the usual barrage of exposition and worldbuilding to progress the Traveler's story.

Faruzan is coming alongside the Wanderer, and she's due to be the second archer in the Anemo family next to Venti. While her kit is yet to be officially revealed, trusted sources from the "Genshin Impact" community have already datamined her abilities and passives ahead of the next content drop. Here's a look at her skills.

Elemental Skill – Wind Realm of Nisamjnin

Upon casting, Faruzan summons an Anemo Polyhedron that deals elemental damage to nearby targets. Additionally, the ability places her in the Manifest Gale state, which turns her next Charged Shot into a Hurricane Arrow. This state is removed after Faruzan fires.

Hurricane Arrow deals Charged Attack damage and inflict the Pressurized Collapse effect on struck enemies. After a short delay, the arrow causes an implosion that pulls all nearby enemies toward it while also dealing elemental damage.

Elemental Burst – The Wind's Secret Ways

Faruzan's ultimate spawns a Dazzling Polyhedron that deals area Anemo damage. It constantly shifts between three points set in a triangular pattern.

Upon first appearing and reaching a new point in its movement pattern, the polyhedron releases a Whirlwind Pulse, which inflicts the Perfidious Wind's Ruin effect that shreds the Anemo RES of enemies. Allies hit by a pulse instead gain the Prayerful Wind's Gift, which boosts their Anemo DMG.

Passives

For her first passive, when Faruzan is in the Manifest Gale state, her next Hurricane Arrow will inflict the Perfidious Wind's Ruin effect on all targets affected by the vortex. Additionally, her powered shot will charge up significantly faster than normal.

Faruzan's second passive increases the Anemo DMG dealt by friendly characters affected by her Elemental Burst's Prayerful Wind's Gift by a percentage of her ATK stat.

Faruzan Release Date

If Hoyoverse sticks to its usual update schedule, then Faruzan and the Wanderer should be added to "Genshin Impact" by Dec. 7.

Should the leaks prove accurate, she'll bring excellent offensive support for Anemo-based teams with a DPS hero like Wanderer or Xiao, together with Kazuha and an off-element Swirl enabler.
