MiHoYo’s acclaimed RPG gacha game “Genshin Impact” received its latest international award at The Game Awards this year, claiming the title of Best Mobile Game against several other massively-popular games in the category.
“Genshin Impact” was able to clinch this year’s Best Mobile Game after winning the majority vote against four other titles, namely: “League of Legends: Wild Rift,” “Fantasian,” “Marvel Future Revolution” and “Pokemon Unite.”
In celebration of “Genshin Impact’s” latest accolade, miHoYo will be distributing 1,600 Primogems to all players between Dec. 11-14, according to an official tweet. Players will receive 400 Primogems every day for four days and all players over Adventurer Rank 7 or above can claim these rewards at any time before patch 2.3’s cycle is over.
The game’s masterfully-crafted world, lovable characters, excellent gameplay and amazing soundtrack contributed to its victory at TGA 2021, towering over Riot’s venerable “Wild Rift” and the ever-popular “Pokemon” franchise to claim its spot in the gaming industry as a respectable title.
Even though “Genshin Impact” is not restricted to just mobile devices, the game’s reception on all platforms is nothing short of stellar. It was met with very positive reviews from fans and critics when it first launched and up until now, “Genshin Impact” enjoys the adoration of its loyal fanbase thanks to its constantly evolving world.
This is not the first time “Genshin Impact” won an award. Last year, the game won the iPhone Game of the Year award from the Apple App Store and Google’s Best Game of 2020 award, which solidified its place in the mobile game market. “Genshin Impact” also won Game of the Year from several award bodies like Tap Tap Games and the Golden Joystick Awards.
The game’s most recent award was Sony’s PlayStation Partner Grand Award from the first week of December.
“Genshin Impact” was previously nominated for Best Mobile Game in last year’s TGA, but it was trumped by Innersloth’s viral hit “Among Us.”
Currently, “Genshin Impact” is about to enter the second phase of version 2.3 where players can expect the release of the new 5-star character Arataki Itto and the new 4-star Gorou
