George And Amal Clooney To Host Fundraising Dinner For Hillary Clinton At Their LA Home
George and Amal Clooney are hosting a fundraising dinner for Hillary Clinton at their Los Angeles home next month. But, the tickets for the dinner don’t come cheap. They will cost a whopping $33,400 each.
The Clooneys fundraiser for Clinton will be held in their Los Angeles home in April. People from all walks of life now have an opportunity to dine with the 38-year-old and her 54-year-old Hollywood heartthrob husband. The Hollywood actor and his human rights lawyer wife have gone all out to support Clinton.
Earlier, the “Monuments Men” actor went on record in support of the former U.S. secretary of State. George said he would do “whatever Hillary wanted, whatever he could do to help.” The couple have announced that they are throwing a special fundraising dinner in their LA home.
The actor confirmed the news in an email to supporters of Hillary. However, the actor assured prospective diners that he will not cook. “The good news is, I'm not cooking,” George joked.
Meanwhile, in the email, he praised Clinton calling her “a voice of tolerance and experience who’s spent a lifetime fighting for the rights of the less fortunate; a candidate who knows first-hand the complexity of our international relationships.” He has always been vocal about his support for the politician. Besides, this is not the first time George is showing his support for a Democrat.
The actor was earlier also involved with an election. In 2012, he hosted a fundraising sinner for Barack Obama. The tickets for the dinner cost $40,000 per head and raised $15 million.
Amal, meanwhile spoke at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi, India on Sunday. The barrister gave Jackie Kennedy vibes in an orange Paule Ka dress suit. It consisted of a sleeveless sheath dress (Look 3) which featured robe detailing in satin and crepe.
It also had a crop jacket of the same color with long sleeves, round collar and button down. She accessorized with a pair of Akong London Amsterdam drop earrings. It consisted of classic white pearl and navy blue accent thread detail with Swarovski crystals in green and purple.
Talking about her marriage, the brunette beauty said she and George waited for a long time to make the ultimate plunge and get married. She added at their wedding there were people on both sides who thought they would never get married. About U.S. presidential elections, Amal hoped that if the battle at the end boiled down to Trump versus Clinton, she wanted to support the first female president of the US.
