The quick thinking of a Georgia Chick-Fil-A employee saved the life of a young boy that was spotted choking outside the fast food restaurant.

Logan Simmons was working at a Hall County, Georgia, Chick-Fil-A when he heard something coming from one of the cars near the drive-thru. A mother was screaming for help and panicking because her son was being choked by his seatbelt. Simmons didn’t sit around and jumped through the Chick-Fil-A’s drive-thru window to help the mother and son in need.

Simmons’ actions were caught on a security camera and spread very quickly on social media.

Once he got to the car, Simmons pulled out a pocketknife to cut the seatbelt and free the child.

“I’m still kind of shocked right now myself that all this has happened,” he told WSB-TV. “You could see he was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face.”

The mother expressed her gratitude and took her son to get looked at by a nearby doctor. She called the restaurant later to thank Simmons again, calling him a hero.

“I’m amazed he didn’t panic. As his mother, I would have panicked,” Simmons’ mother, Teri Simmons, told WSB-TV. “I’d be running around going, ‘Oh my gosh. What do we do?’”
