Georgia Couple Wakes Up To Find Naked Man Inside Their Bedroom, Standing Over Woman
KEY POINTS
- The couple called 911 after the man ran out of the bedroom
- He was spotted running away from the back of the couple's home
- The suspect could face one to 20 years in prison if convicted
A Georgia couple woke up to what can count as one of the most shocking and unusual situations over the weekend. The duo's home in Haralson County had just been broken into, and the suspect was in the master bedroom, standing over the wife's head, naked.
The man exited the bedroom after being confronted by the couple. The couple alerted other family members before calling 911. They all gathered in a room as they waited for deputies to arrive.
A deputy with the Haralson County Sheriff's Office immediately arrived at the home. A 50-year-old man from Buchanan, identified as Terry Mosley, was arrested after one of the deputies found him running away from the back of the couple's home, WSB-TV reported.
"Cpl. Rodney Smith was on scene within four minutes of the call being dispatched and observed a naked male running from the back of the home toward the front and intercepted the male," the sheriff's office posted on Instagram.
Mosley was charged with burglary and other offenses. Police said he could face additional charges. He will face one to 20 years in prison if found guilty of burglary in the first degree, which is counted as a felony in Georgia.
In another incident in June, a homeless man broke into a California residence that he claimed was his and killed the homeowner's two pet parakeets. The incident was captured on the security camera. The homeowner, Mat Sabz, was taking a shower when his wife and kids, who were out, called him and alerted him about the break-in after noticing the security footage. He then jumped off his second-floor balcony to reach his car and call the police.
The intruder "went and opened the cage with like a serial killer looking smile -- squeezing them, dropping them and stomping on both of them as they are screaming for their lives these birds," Sabz said.
