Georgia Postal Worker Dies After Being Shot In Head, Suspect At Large

A female postal worker in Georgia was fatally shot in the head while she was on the job Monday evening. The incident took place outside a post office at an intersection near 2724 Wesley Chapel and Snapfinger in DeKalb County, and the victim died while on way to the hospital.

Earlier tweets by a local reporter said witnesses at the scene heard four gunshots fired.

Investigators working with the DeKalb County Police Department and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service were at the scene and were conducting a joint investigation. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The suspect involved in the shooting is on the run and investigators are conducting a search.
