Geri Halliwell Calls Prince Charles ‘Spice Boy’ Decades After Pinching His Bum
Geri Halliwell recently called Prince Charles “Spice Boy” during their reunion.
While at The Savoy hotel, the Spice Girls member spoke about the future king and said that he has been a huge part of the landscape of the British girl group.
“He’s part of our heritage… We consider him a Spice Boy. I feel like Prince Charles, His Royal Highness is part of the landscape of the Spice Girls and our journey… He was there from the beginning,” she told Metro.
Halliwell went on to say that she admires Prince Charles – who will soon become king – for his brilliance and for how he has represented the country. The Spice Girls member was photographed shaking hands and chatting with the royal while her husband, Christian Horner, stood beside her.
Prince Charles and Halliwell both attended the Invest in Future event, which aims to encourage donors to help disadvantaged young people find their way in the workplace.
Meanwhile, Halliwell and Prince Charles’ previous meeting was not as formal as the one they had recently. Years ago, the singer-dancer famously pinched Prince Charles’ bum after they met him in Manchester for the Prince’s Trust, Prince Charles’ charity.
While speaking with Rolling Stone, Spice Girls members Mel B and Emma Bunton clarified that they didn’t flirt with Prince Charles. Victoria Beckham said that it was Halliwell that charmed the royal. Halliwell joked about pinching everyone’s bottom.
“Why am I going to stop at the Prince?” she teased.
When asked what Prince Charles’ bum felt like, Halliwell said that it wasn’t bad. She also likened it to a waterbed and claimed that Prince Charles tensed his butt quickly after she grabbed it.
Halliwell also revealed that people were trying to censor jokes at that time because they were talking to a prince. However, she stressed that Princess Diana’s ex-husband is just a man like everyone else who needs a good laugh.
Spice Girls is currently working on their reunion concert, but it will not feature Beckham.
