American Airlines is offering U.S. flights starting at $59. Passengers must book prior to Sept. 22 for travel before Dec. 14. American is also offering a European sale with tickets starting at $256 for seats booked before Sept. 28. Travel between Oct. 29 and March 26, 2012 to take advantage of this sale.
JetBlue is promoting a last of summer deal that ends Oct. 4. Flights start at $49, but require a 21-day advance purchase.
JetBlue also offers exclusive cruise deals in its September sea sale starting at $159. The deal includes many different cruise lines and bonus offers, such as upgrades or spending money on the cruise ship.
For example, on Costa Cruise Line, passengers can get an interior room on a seven night Western Mediterranean cruise from Civitavecchia, Italy for 399 dollars with a bonus of $100 spending money aboard the ship.
If cruises don't intrigue you, JetBlue's package deals might, with flight and hotel packages starting at $339. Perhaps a $359 trip from JFK to the beaches of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic might tempt you!
Air Tran Airway's Go somewhere your office isn't sale offers low-priced tickets starting at $59 one-way. Purchase tickets before Sept. 22 to get this deal on flights before Dec. 14. Tickets must be bought 10 days in advance and there are some blackout dates for Thanksgiving.
Southwest is offering a similar sale to Air Tran's with tickets starting at $59 and also ending on September 22.
For West Coast travelers, Alaska Airline's low fare fiesta may be just the ticket. Tickets are as low as $119 one-way from many West Coast cities to Mexican destinations like Mexico City and Guadalajara. Purchase the tickets before Sept. 20 to take advantage of travel before Nov. 7.
If you happen to be heading from Dallas Fort Worth to San Francisco or Los Angeles, Virgin America's 2 for 1 is a great travel deal. The deal ends on October 15 and is part of the airline's switch to Virgin America campaign.
Lufthansa encourages passengers to discover Europe with inter-European flights starting at $169 round trip.
