'Ghostbusters' Star Melissa McCarthy And Husband Ben Falcone Dine Out In Boston
Melissa McCarthy, who is currently shooting “Ghostbusters” in Boston, took some time off Sunday evening to go on a dinner date with husband Ben Falcone. The couple was seen enjoying sumptuous food at Mare Oyster Bar.
According to People, their dinner menu consisted of oysters on the half shell, pan-roasted halibut, corn, clam chowder, sausages and pan-seared salmon with white bean puree, roasted fennel and shallots.
McCarthy was reportedly dressed in casual attire for the evening and was quite cordial with the staff of the restaurant. “She was super nice to the staff and to the other guests at the restaurant. On her way out, she said 'hi' to guests who went up to her, and also thanked the staff for everything. She said she loved it,” a source told the website.
McCarthy seems to be making some interesting food choices as she shoots in Boston. Earlier in the week, she and her husband were seen dining with Paul Feig and his wife Laurie Karen Feige. They reportedly had dinner at Butcher Shop in the trendy South End neighborhood. It specializes in French and Italian cuisine and is owned by Chef Barbara Lynch.
McCarthy is reportedly fond of Boston and previously filmed “The Heat” with Sandra Bullock in the city. “That was my first time there and I absolutely love Boston. I’m from outside Chicago and it was that same warm, friendly feeling where no one is afraid to talk to you, which I love because I’m chatty,” she said during the filming of “The Heat," the Boston Herald reported.
The shooting of “Ghostbusters” began a few days ago. McCarthy will play Abby Bergman alongside Kristen Wiig (Erin Gabler), Chris Hemsworth (Kevin), Kate McKinnon (Jillian Holtzman), Cecily Strong and Leslie Jones. The official plot details are not known. Feig is directing and has also written the screenplay with Kate Dioppold. Dan Ackroyd and the late Harold Ramis created the characters for the 1984 original.
The movie is scheduled to open July 22, 2016.
