Gia Giudice On Christian Carmichael Engagement Rumors: ‘We Are Happy Together But Not Engaged’

Gia Giudice is speaking up amid the rumors that she and her boyfriend Christian Carmichael are already engaged.

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, who is turning 21 on Saturday, Jan. 8, broke her silence on the engagement speculations in an exclusive interview with Celebuzz published Wednesday. She provided a link to the article in a new Instagram post.

“There have been rumors circulating on the internet that my boyfriend and I are secretly engaged. I can confirm the engagement news - specifically, that we are NOT engaged,” Teresa Giudice’s eldest daughter told the outlet.

She continued, “We are happily together as boyfriend and girlfriend but definitely there is no engagement here.”

Gia and Christian have been together for some time now. They made their relationship Instagram official in July 2020, but it wasn’t clear when exactly the two started dating. Since then, Gia has made it a habit to update her social media accounts with sweet photos featuring her boyfriend, according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish.

The rumors that they have gotten engaged emerged around the same time when Gia officially introduced her beau to her father when the couple visited Joe Giudice, 49, in the Bahamas back in November.

Gia gave her fans a glimpse of how she spent her reunion weekend with her father in Nassau. The trio spent the night out in the city before heading to the beach the next day, based on the series of snaps Gia shared on her Instagram.

Joe poked fun at Carmichael in his social media update about the reunion weekend. In a video he shared online, he told fans that he was meeting “Danny [Zuko]” from the hit movie “Grease.” He was referencing the costume that Christian rocked when he and Gia dressed up as Danny and Sandy for Halloween.

Joe has been splitting his time between the Bahamas and his native country, Italy, ever since he was deported to the latter from the U.S. in 2019 after completing his federal prison sentence for fraud charges.

Before 2021 wrapped up, all four of Joe’s daughters — Gia, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 12 — went to the Bahamas to ring in the New Year with him, while their mother and Joe’s ex-wife, Teresa, welcomed 2022 with her fiancé Luis Ruelas, 46, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Before heading back, Joe and his daughters had an early birthday celebration for Gia over the weekend. Joe posted a clip of them singing “Happy Birthday” to Gia as she blew out a candle on her strawberry cake. Christian was also present during the mini-celebration, as seen in the clip.

Gia shared a couple of snaps from the intimate gathering in Carmine’s Atlantis restaurant. One of them showed the father and daughter sitting close to each other while smiling at the camera.

Gia also showed off a series of photos showing her and Joe gallivanting around Nassau the day after the celebration. “Town days are the best days,” she wrote in the caption with a red heart emoji.
