Gigi Hadid Talks Being A ‘Good Girlfriend’ Amid Zayn Malik Breakup News
Gigi Hadid has revealed that she has always been a nice girlfriend to her previous crushes and boyfriends.
The model made the revelation while accepting the Our New Girlfriend Award at the 2016 Guys Choice Awards held Saturday, E! News reported. Gigi stated in her acceptance speech that she has “always been like, kind of like a good girlfriend.”
Yolanda Hadid’s daughter also recounted that she had asked for assistance from a friend to help her come up with something funny to say during her speech. "And she was like, ‘Try and think of like, something that you did [that was] mean to a crush in middle school and try to make a joke about that,'” Gigi shared. However, the supermodel mentioned that she has always been a good girlfriend. She even described herself as a “nice” girl even she was younger. “Like, even in middle school when I had crushes, like, I've always been like kind of nice!” Gigi said.
The Victoria’s Secret model made the pronouncement following breakup news with boyfriend Zayn Malik. Previous reports have indicated that the Hollywood couple has separated after dating for more than six months. However, it is still unclear if Gigi and the former One Direction band member will get back together again. Sources told E!News that the two celebrities have previously broken up but “got back together a few times.”
The sources also stated that Gigi and Zayn may reconcile in the near future. “[They] can likely get back together tomorrow,” the source said.
The same was also mentioned by an insider who told People magazine that the recently reported Gigi and Zayn breakup may likely be a short separation. The former Hollywood couple’s relationship “seems like it's not totally over," the source stated.
Gigi and Zayn started dating in the latter part of 2015. The two celebrities even made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2016 Met Gala held in early May. The model and her former beau have yet to comment on the breakup news.
