‘Gilmore Girls’ Reunion: Milo Ventimiglia Confirmed To Reunite With Cast At 2015 ATX Television Festival
Better late than never! Stars Hollow’s very own bad boy Jess Mariano, played by the talented Milo Ventimiglia, will be attending the anticipated “Gilmore Girls” reunion panel, which will take place at the 2015 ATX Television Festival in Austin. (We’ll pause so you can take a moment to freak out.)
Entertainment Weekly confirmed the exciting news, revealing that Ventimiglia, who currently stars on both “The Whispers” and “Gotham,” had been the latest addition of the star-stuffed panel, including the “Gilmore Girls” creator herself, Amy Sherman-Palladino.
With Ventimiglia participating in the reunion, which is slated for Saturday, June 6, that means all three of Alexis Bledel’s TV lovers from the hit WB series (that concluded in May 2007) will be present at the event. That’s right, Rory’s (Bledel) ex-boyfriend’s Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki), Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) and now Jess will unite on stage for an epic -- and much awaited -- reunion.
We have a little tip for Bledel and the boys as Season 4 of the ATX Television Festival approaches: We suggest the stars start preparing their answers now regarding their steamy on-screen romances because we have a feeling shippers will be vying for some answers, like how Czuchry feels about his character getting dumped by the aspiring journalist.
During an interview with E! Online, “The Good Wife” star addressed that very inquiry, revealing that he “liked” how Rory turned down Logan’s marriage proposal.
“I have thought about that of course over a period of time and a lot of me thinks Rory probably made the right decision in terms of saying no," Czuchry said. "Not just because of it being Logan, but just at that time in her life."
The actor added that the show “was about two strong women who had been on their own and make their way on their own, so I felt like that was the heart of the show. Regardless if it had been Logan, Dean or Jess who asked her at the end, I think she gave the proper answer: ‘No.' It's not a reflection on Logan, but more of a reflection on the show, the heart of the show in terms of Rory being on her own and a strong woman on her own. I kind of like that answer."
Ventimiglia, who portrayed Luke’s (Scott Patterson) nephew on the seven season series, also addressed his character’s relationship with Rory earlier this year during a sit-down with People magazine. He stated that he never thought the two would have ever got back together (despite their ever-lasting chemistry), but was positive they would have “kept a friendship relationship.”
“Maybe they send each other postcards,” he theorized.
Ventimiglia and the cast of “Gilmore Girls” will reunite during the 2015 ATX Television Festival and the International Business Times will be there to get all the scoop on your beloved Stars Hallow residents.
