Rodriguez thanked Camil for being the “most loving, compassionate, generous, insanely talented and insanely kind hearted human being I’ve ever met,” and she said working with him on “Jane the Virgin” has been nothing short of a blessing.
The love definitely goes both ways as Camil commented on her post: “I adore you Gina, thank you for this beautiful post and for being a part of my life. Right back at you love.”
In “Jane the Virgin” Season 4, Rodriguez and Camil’s characters are definitely going to rely on each other more than ever, now that Rogelio Dela Vega is going to welcome a baby girl with his ex-girlfriend, Darci Factor (Justina Mechado).
Camil told Elite Daily that Rogelio will definitely be overwhelmed with caring for his daughter, so it will be a treat to watch Rogelio struggle with his new responsibilities. “Season 4 is gonna be a big one for me because, as you saw in the season finale of Season 3, Darci ended up pregnant. So it’s gonna be a fun one for Rogelio. He’s gonna have a kid, a girl, and it’s gonna be messy for him,” he said. “But at the same time any time it gets messy for Rogelio, it gets funny for the audience.”
Meanwhile, show creator Jennie Snyder Urman told Deadline that Rogelio’s new wife, Xo (Andrea Navedo), is going to find it difficult to deal with Darci and their new baby. But the good news is that Rogelio and Xo are determined to make their relationship work.
“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 will return on Oct. 13. at 9 p.m. EST.
