Big Love star Ginnifer Goodwin and actor Joey Kern are now engaged, reports People.com

Kern is believed to have proposed to her with a ring that he designed himself. Kern shared the news with his friends on twitter on the same night that he proposed.

“We couldn't be happier than to celebrate our engagement over the holidays with our families, the couple told the magazine.

The pair plans to wed in the fall.

Goodwin and Kern have been dating for two years.

Goodwin’s filmography covers , He is just not that Into You, Mona Lisa Smile and Walk The Line. Her latest movie, Something Borrowed is under production.

Joey Kern’s career took off with Cabin Fever and The Grind. He currently has five movies under production, including The Sasquatch Gang, All the Days Before Tomorrow and One Part Sugar.
