No major changes were observed in April, the pregnant giraffe, late Tuesday but the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York, where she lives, said that she was now at “the end of the pregnancy.”

The zoo said it was experiencing the brunt of Stella, the snowstorm that blasted the northeast Tuesday, but the animals were safe and the facility was doing its best to keep them comfortable.

In a post on Facebook updating people on April’s condition, the upstate-New York zoo said, “ We remain in a holding pattern. No significant change from this morning or last night, though all signs are still present – suggesting we are at the end of the pregnancy.”

“Slight discharge, swelling, pulsing, etc.,” the post continued. “Keepers reported that baby is very active this evening. April remains in STELLAr (did you get that snowstorm joke) condition.”

April will be giving birth on live cam for thousands of people across the world to experience the process. A livestream monitoring April’s progress sees almost 100,000 views at any given time but the snowstorm caused a minor disruption to the signal Tuesday, causing viewers to lose their visuals as they waited for April to go into labor. The zoo, in the update Tuesday, said it was prepared for the giraffe to go into labor anytime. The post said, “Procedures are in place to get the necessary individuals to the site should April begin to birth.”

Animal Adventure Park’s Facebook post was shared almost 4,000 times, garnering over 37,000 reactions as millions across the world wait for the giraffe to give birth. This will be April’s fourth calf, and her mate Oliver’s first.

The zoo’s live feed has run into some trouble in the past when YouTube removed it after a backlash, labeling it sexually explicit. After a massive uproar, the feed was restored.
