Gisele Bündchen is making a major career move after her husband Tom Brady made his seventh Super Bowl championship.
Bündchen, 40, decided to leave modeling agency IMG Models after being with them for 22 years, Page Six Style reported. The celebrity mom of two decided to take her representation in-house. Her twin sister, Patricia, who also works as her manager, will be representing her.
Bündchen is one of the highest paid models in the industry. In 2012, she was named Forbes' highest paid model. She was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2000 to 2006, and she has graced over 41 Vogue covers throughout her career.
In her book "Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life," Bündchen admitted she left Victoria's Secret because she was no longer comfortable walking the runway in lingerie. When her contract with them expired in 2006, she decided not to renew it anymore, but she acknowledged the financial security it gave her.
"For the first five years, I felt comfortable modeling in lingerie, but as time went on, I felt less and less at ease being photographed walking the runway wearing just a bikini or a thong. Give me a tail, a cape, wings — please, anything to cover me up a little!" she wrote in her memoir.
"I was certainly grateful for the opportunity and the financial security the company had given me, but I was at a different place in my life, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue working there."
In 2015, Bündchen decided to quit the catwalk for good. She made the announcement on Instagram explaining that she had been doing it since she was 14 and had decided to move on with doing other things related to the business.
"I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey. Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business," she wrote.
Bündchen celebrated her husband Brady’s MVP award at the Super Bowl on Sunday with their kids Benjamin, 11, and Vivian, 8, and his son with ex Bridget Moynahan, John, 13, in Tampa Bay. Everyone was present during Brady’s game and they were cheering for him throughout the game. Bündchen gave her husband a smooch before he accepted his MVP trophy while their kids joined him on the field.
