Since being diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing a double mastectomy, E! News host Giuliana Rancic has been an inspiration for many.

Two weeks after the double mastectomy, the 37-year-old was back at work, joining co-host Ryan Seacrest. On New Year's Eve, Rancic and Bill, her husband of nearly five years, joined forces to host the Nivea Kiss Stage in Times Square.

But Rancic had some doubts about returning to work so early, during one of the busiest times of the year -- the Oscars, Grammys and other red carpet extravaganzas.

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, the petit TV host said her first day back at E! News since her double mastectomy was full of careful coworkers. But she wasn't comfortable with the extra caution.

It was like, 'Hey guys, cut the bullsh*t. I'm still the exact same person I was before. I'm still shallow, I still love clothes, I still want to talk fashion, I still want to gossip, so lay it on me . . . They were like, 'Thank God,' Rancic told Glamour.

In October, Rancic went on The Today Show to announce that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, following her latest attempt to get pregnant.

Through my attempt to get pregnant for the third time through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), we sadly found out that I have early stages of breast cancer. And it's been a shock, Rancic said at the time.

Rancic later underwent a double lumpectomy, which was followed by a six-week radiation period. Near the end of the radiation phase, Rancic decided to have a double mastectomy.

At first I didn't want to look in the mirror, because I felt like, I'm getting better every day and this is my health, so I shouldn't get bogged down by what I see in the mirror . . . I knew I wasn't going to look like a biniki model, so why look? Why even put the image in my head? Rancic told Glamour of her first days after the mastectomy.

During this whole ordeal, Rancic has been plowing through with help (and Twitter messages) from her fans, friends and most importantly her husband Bill.

As a husband and as a man, you wish you could trade places with your wife, but you can't, and it sucks . . . I of course had my moments. But you know, you've got to be strong; I would never break down in front of her . . . but there were moments when it was like, 'It's not fair. Why does she have to go through this?' There was anger, Bill told Glamour.

The Rancics are gearing up for a fifth season of their reality show, Giuliana & Bill, which was renewed earlier this year by the Style Network.

Since day one of our marriage, Bill and I have welcomed Style into our lives . . . in 2011 we faced our scariest obstacle yet when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but as we start 2012, I am focused on living in the present, Giuliana Rancic said in a statement in January.

The new season of Giuliana & Bill airs later this year.
