'Glee' Star Becca Tobin Welcomes First Baby Via Surrogacy With Husband Zach Martin
Becca Tobin welcomed her first baby boy named Ford with her husband Zach Martin. The couple had the baby via surrogacy. The 36-year-old actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo of Martin walking out of the hospital as he carried the newborn baby in a carrier.
"Welcome to the world, Ford," Tobin captioned the photo. "Rutherford 'Ford' Thomas Martin is here and life is already so much sweeter."
The 36-year-ols actress revealed that it took them five years to have the baby. "It took him five years to get here, but it’s been worth every minute. Thank you to our amazing surrogate for bringing him here safely surrounded by so much love."
The comments section was flooded with congratulatory messages.
Actress Jac Vanek wrote, "I AM THE HAPPIEST," while the official handle of the "LadyGang" TV series which features Tobin simply wrote, "Congratulations!!!" with heart-eye popping out emojis.
Actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher also commented, "Love this little man so much," while actress Rebecca Tilley wrote, "OH MY GOODNESS CONGRATULATIONS," with red heart emojis.
Many more celebs including Haylie Duff, Brad Goreski, Nischelle Turner, Ali Stroker, Morgan Stewart McGraw, Jana Kramer, Harley Knight-Rodriguez, Francesca Mariano, Jesse Metcalfe, and Jamie Lynn Sigler shared their best wishes and congratulatory messages for the newborn.
Tobin and Martin tied the knot in December 2016 in a private ceremony. The actress shared a black and white wedding photo in December last year to celebrate her wedding anniversary. "Best decision I’ve ever made," she captioned the post.
Tobin was earlier dating entrepreneur Matt Bendik, who died in 2014.
On the work front, Tobin was a regular on the popular TV series, "Glee" from 2012 to 2015. Since then, she has been featured in various projects including, "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Dropping the Soap," "A Song for Christmas," "Love at First Dance" and "Sister of the Bride."
The actress was recently featured in the TV series, "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" and "Turner & Hooch" released last year. She was also featured in a movie, "Christmas Is You" starring Matthew MacCaull, Dewshane Williams and Rukiya Bernard. The movie was released on Nov. 28, 2021.
