Glen Campbell Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
Glen Campbell, the Rhinestone Cowboy singer, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, People reported Wednesday.
The Country legend said he wishes to perform live this fall to say farewell to his fans and decided to go public with his condition.
Glen is still an awesome guitar player and singer, his wife told People. But if he flubs a lyric or gets confused on stage, I wouldn't want people to think, 'What's the matter with him? Is he drunk?'
The Grammy-winner suffered from minor short-term memory loss for several years but it has only been 6 months since he received the diagnosis.
I still love making music, shared Campbell. And I still love performing for my fans. I'd like to thank them for sticking with me through thick and thin.
