'God Eater 3' Demo: What We Know So Far
Bandai Namco recently released the "God Eater 3" action demo on the PlayStation Network. The demo is free to download and features some of the new systems and content in the third entry of the "God Eater" series. Here’s what we know so far.
As seen on the official Bandai Namco Twitter, the "God Eater 3" demo will only be playable this weekend, Jan. 12 and 13. Players will have access to single player missions and can even play with up to eight players in multiplayer.
For new players and seasoned "God Eater" fans, it’s highly advisable to run through the training missions first before facing any enemies. It might be boring as the smaller Aragami monsters will come to fight you, but it’ll orient you on the basics to survive and win against fights against the bigger ones.
Additionally, "God Eater 3" has some new controls available, regardless of which weapon or gun you choose to bring in battle. This new game has more heft and weight in its movements and attacks, so you’ll have to get slightly used to it before trying out one of the three available missions in the "God Eater 3" demo.
For single player, the "God Eater 3" demo offers three large Aragami to fight, namely the Barbarius, Havakiri and Anubis. All three enemies can be defeated with the provided God Arc weaponry and firearms available in the "God Eater 3" demo. Worrying about them being too strong for you or being the “challenge” monster for the veterans should not be a problem.
So far, the new weapons introduced in this "God Eater 3" demo are the same as those in the previous demos and announcements: the Heavy Moon, Biting Edge and Raygun. The Heavy Moon is the crescent-moon looking weapon that can become an axe with chainsaw teeth to grind enemies. Meanwhile, the Raygun is a laser gun that grows in size and damage as the laser is kept on firing.
The game’s starting loadout is the Biting Edge and Raygun combined, but you can change it on the terminal to the left of the mission select monitor.
Bandai Namco’s "God Eater 3" will be available this coming Feb. 8.
