The E-coli (Escherichia coli) outbreak bacteria was being detected during the routine testing, according to the Gold Coast Water spokesman.

The Nerang residents on the Gold Coast are being warned to boil their tap water before drinking it for the next three days.

While until the Gold Coast Water not completes their water and testing operations. Affected residents in Nerang who lives along the west of the railway line and north of the Nerang river believed to be much affected.

It is believed that because of high levels of E- coli bacteria in water supply at the area more than 2500 homes put at risk.
