Golden Globes 2013 Red Carpet: All The Fashion, Dresses And Major Trends Of The Night [PHOTOS]

Stars from the big and small screen as well as from the music world came out in their best threads on Sunday night for the 2013 Golden Globes Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

While the chilly southern California night saw temperatures dip around the 50 degree mark, heat lamps warmed red carpet walkers including Jennifer Lawrence, Claire Danes and Jennifer Garner, who were dressed head-to-toe in red. Lawrence wore a Dior Haute Couture outfit, Danes wore a Versace piece and Garner sported a Vivienne Westwood ensemble. They joined other stars including Marion Cotillard, who wore a custom-made Christian Dior by Raf Simons; Naomi Watts in Zac Posen; and Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta to heat up the night.

But not all starlets were dressed in colorful hues, as black was the go-to color for the evening. Some of the standouts included Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen; Rosie Huntington-Whitley in Saint Laurent; Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka; Katherine McPhee in Theyskens Theory; Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen; Julianne Moore in Tom Ford; Tina Fey in L’Wren Scott; Stacy Kiebler in Armani Prive; Sofia Vergara in new designer Michael Cinco; and Rachel Weisz in Louis Vuitton.

On the other end of the non-color spectrum, stars like Amanda Seyfried in Givency; Anne Hathaway in Chanel; Megan Fox in Dolce & Gabbana; Hayden Panetierre in Roberto Cavalli; Isla Fisher in Reema Acra; Amy Adams in Marchesa; Kristen Bell in Jenny Packham; and Kerry Washington in Miu Miu donned shades of white, blush and nude for the occasion.

Some daring ladies rocked color for the red carpet, like Jessica Chastain in a light blue Calvin Klein dress; Taylor Swift in a deep purple Donna Karan Atelier; Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta; Sienna Miller in custom Erdem; Halle Berry in a watercolor Versace gown; and Lucy Liu in a light blue floral number by Carolina Herrera.

The major trend of the night seemed to be cutouts, like Kristen Wiig’s Michael Kors dress and Kate Hudson’s Alexander McQueen dress as well as sheer panels like Jennifer Lopez’s floral Zuhair Murad, Kerry Washington’s Miu Miu and Rachel Weisz in Louis Vuitton.
