The Golden State Warriors have not been their usual dominant selves to begin the regular season, and at least part of that can be explained by injuries. Starters Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have each missed several games. The sharpshooting point guard and two-time league MVP will return Saturday night against the Pistons, but what about Green?

Head coach Steve Kerr said Green is shooting to come back at the end of the Warriors’ five-game road trip, per The Athletic’s Anthony Slater. Green could come back on Dec. 5 against the Cavaliers or Dec. 7 against the Bucks.

Curry and Green coming back will be a boon to the Warriors, who are just 4-6 in their last 10 games. Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson have carried the team as much as they can, but it has not always been enough; Durant had 51 points on Thursday night in Toronto, but the Raptors still prevailed 131-128 in overtime.
