Golden State Warriors Star Klay Thompson Dances Awkwardly At Night Club In China
Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson appears to be in good spirits after his team secured the NBA title this year. He’s currently in China promoting his Anta sneakers, dunking for fans and displaying his impressive dance moves in the club.
Thompson, stationed in China for a sneaker promotion, was spotted showing off what may be another talent of his: dancing to EDM music. He was reportedly near the DJ booth at a lounge called Face Club in Shenzhen, China Wednesday when "The Right Song" by Tiesto began to play.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Thompson — the Warriors' sharpshooter — showed off his dance moves. During the song, he won the attention of partygoers, one of whom decided to record the dance display on video. Apparently inspired by the song, Thompson spun around and flailed his arms to the beat.
Thompson’s teammate and "Splash Brother" Steph Curry apparently saw the video footage of his teammate dancing and decided to share his opinion of the spectacle. Curry took to Instagram Wednesday to chide Thompson’s dance display.
Curry wasn’t the only one who commented on the Warrior’s apparent lack of savvy on the dance floor. Social media had a few words for Thompson, mostly in jest.
This isn’t the first time the Warrior’s shooter had people talking in China. Last week, Thompson was recorded on a basketball court while seemingly attempting to showcase his athleticism. Thompson took off with basketball in hand and lifted off the ground to attempt a 360 dunk. He fell to the floor when the ball met the rim in his hand, and spectators quickly aided him. Thompson appeared unharmed, but his ego may have taken the hit.

Thompson's recent tomfoolery isn't a first for the Warriors star. In a May interview, reporters asked him how he would stay occupied in the city of Utah. Thompson told reporters he likes to keep himself entertained no matter where he is. Having just playing in Utah, reporters asked what he planned to do after the game.
"I might go see a movie, they’ve got a nice movie theater by the hotel. I don’t know. I’ll find something to do. I always go by the saying, 'Only boring people get bored,' so I’ll find something."
