‘Good Witch’ Season 5, Episode 4 Spoilers: Exclusive Abigail And Donovan Clip, Synopsis

Things continue to heat up between the mayor of Middleton and the mayor of Blairsville in Sunday’s new episode of Hallmark Channel’s “Good Witch,” and International Business Times has the proof in the form of an exclusive clip.

In IBT’s exclusive Season 5, episode 4 clip (watch above), Abigail (Sarah Power) visits the Blairsville mayor, Donovan Davenport (Marc Bendavid), at his office to give him an update on the business his father wants to build in Middleton.

As she walks in, she sees him playing a little putt-putt golf in his office. “I’ll let you enjoy it,” Abigail says to him after he asks if she wants to give it a try. “It’s the only golf you’re gonna be playing around here.”

“You’re denying my father’s permit to build a country club,” Donovan half asks, half states.

Abigail explains that if the Davenport family wants to build it so badly, then they should do so in Blairsville, not Middleton, but Donovan explains right back that his family got a really good deal on the property in her town.

“Wishing Well Park is a Middleton landmark,” Abigail says.

“And the birthplace of the Merriwick-Davenport curse,” he adds.

Apparently, he believes in the curse, and it’s the only reason he hasn’t acted on his feelings for Abigail and asked her out already. Not letting her guard down after his confession too much, she replies with a tough, but flirty, tease: “Or maybe you thought I’d say no.”

After giving her a small, yet tight, smile in response, Donovan warns her to “be careful” when dealing with his father because “he always gets what he wants.”

“So do I,” she counters, before walking out of his office.

Aside from Abigail and Donovan dealing with their personal and professional issues with each other, here’s what else Goodies can expect from Sunday’s “Good Witch” episode, titled “The Prince.”

According to the synopsis, “Cassie [Catherine Bell] hosts royalty at Grey House and the visiting prince hides a shocking secret. Sam [James Denton] gets a visit from an old friend in need of his medical expertise, but soon discovers that his cure may lie in Cassie’s intuition.

“Grace [Bailee Madison] starts an internship for Martha [Catherine Disher] at City Hall and faces fierce competition from a fellow intern. Their competition benefits Abigail, who needs all the help she can get when the rival mayor’s family tries to build on a Middleton landmark. Meanwhile, Martha prepares for the first episode of her television show, and Stephanie [Kylee Evans] considers her romantic options.”

The new episode, directed by Stefan Scaini and written by Erinne Dobson, also stars Gianpaolo Venuta (Vincent), Scott Cavalheiro (Adam), Wade Bogert-O’Brien (Henry), Thom Marriott (Patrick Taylor), Tina Jung (Olivia), Dale Whibley (Luke), Rod Wilson (Davis Davenport) and Jaeda Owens (Sadie).

“Good Witch” Season 5 airs on Sundays on Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m. EDT.
