Though identified as a key competitor to iPhone 5, and the recent crop of Windows Phone device, Nexus 4 is yet to reach the mark as Google plans to offer the device as an unlocked HSPA+ only phone, The Verge has reported.
The screen is curved slightly at edges and Google intends to improve swiping from the device.
Reportedly, photos taken with Nexus 4 appear vastly improved over the last generation. Google has added widget functionality to the screen that presents information in a snapshot and helps avoid probing into the phone.
The company has reportedly improved Google Now significantly. This apart, a quick settings menu on notifications window and tweaked Gmail provide much-need attraction that has users hooked to the device for long hours.
Another interesting aspect to the device is that it features the latest operating system the Android 4.2. While competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note 2 and HTX One X just received the Android 4.1.1 update.
