Google Nexus 6 Price Slashed To $180 On eBay
Google’s Motorola-built Nexus 6, tied to the U.S.-specific model number “XT1103,” can now be purchased for $179.99 via eBay. This 32GB GSM unlocked variant debuted at $649.99 in 2014. But now, it is being sold at $300+ via various e-retailers.
Interested buyers should, however, note that the discounted Nexus 6 model is a manufacturer refurbished handset in excellent condition. EBay says “this unit is in excellent cosmetic condition and has no signs of use.”
As it turns out, 923 units of this discounted handset have been sold in the past 24 hours. The seller “Bid Allies Store” has 98.6 percent positive rating on eBay. As of now, only the black variant is available for purchase, while the white one is out of stock.
The discounted Nexus 6 is available only in limited quantities. Upon purchasing the device, buyers can avail free shipping service from eBay.
Meanwhile, here is a summary of key Nexus 6 specifications for those planning to purchase this handset. It features a huge 5.96-inch AMOLED display, aided by 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 panel protection. This handset sports a splash-resistant curved body with an aluminum chassis.
Under the hood, it comes powered by a quad-core (Snapdragon 805) SoC and backed by a solid 3GB of RAM. Even though Android 5.0 Lollipop runs the device, it is upgradable to the latest Android 6.0 OS.
A 13-megapixel sensor sits at the back of the Nexus 6 with support for dual-LED flash, OIS and 4K video recording. There is also a 2-megapixel shooter for selfies and video chats at the front. Other than the 32GB built-in storage space, there is no option to expand the memory.
The Nexus 6 comes equipped with a non-removable Li-Po 3,220 mAh battery cell with wireless charging option in tow. This unit is apparently capable of giving up to 24 hours of 3G talk time and 330 hours of 3G stand-by time.
