Google Pixel, Pixel XL Smartphones Finally Back In Stock
If you’ve been wanting to spring for a Google Pixel or Pixel XL smartphone, now’s your best chance to get one directly from Google.
Via 9to5Google, both phones are currently in stock at the Google Store. For the Pixel, only the 32GB model is in stock but it’s available in Very Silver, Quite Black and Really Blue finishes. As for the deluxe Pixel XL, models with a Really Blue finish are unavailable but the Google smartphone can be purchased in 32GB or 128GB variants. Pricing remains the same for both Pixel variants.
Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, which launched last fall, are the company’s push to make a fully first-party flagship phone. The Pixel and Pixel XL are priced in line with comparable premium smartphones like Apple’s iPhone and respectively come in 5-inch and 5.5-inch models. Within the U.S., the Pixel is exclusively available through Verizon Wireless, but it can also be purchased directly from the Google Store or Best Buy.
While the Pixel series earned strong reviews upon its release, Google has struggled to keep up with demand for the phone. Immediately after its launch and even in January, reports appeared about the phone being unavailable and out of stock. The current inventory reload isn’t without its blind spots, but at least models are available to purchase.
The Google Pixel 2 isn’t expected to be released soon, but the premium Android smartphone market will become much more crowded in the next few months. The LG G6 will drop in late February, while the Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to be released in April.
