‘Gossip Girl’ Star Leighton Meester Buys $1.5 Million Home in Encino

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester purchased a home in Encino, a less glamorous neighborhood outside of Los Angeles, for a reported $1.5 million.

Rather than channeling her spoiled rotten character Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, who would most likely only reside in the fashionable Beverly Hills area, reports that Meester opted for a ranch home in Encino, nestled away from the paparazzi's reach in the San Fernando Valley, emerged on Thursday.

The $1.5 million mansion is ranch-styled featuring four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, according to Forbes, with 2,847 square feet of open flowing living space. In addition, the zen home has hardwood floors, French doors and a pool with bar and chic landscaping.

Leighton Meester's new California home will compliment her New York pad, where she spends most of her time while filming Gossip Girl.

Before Gossip Girl, Meester had small roles in Entourage, CSI: Miami, and House. Leighton Meester also was on the big screen in Date Night and Country Strong.
