'Gotham' Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 11 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'Rogues' Gallery'? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
A new year means a new “Gotham.” Season 1 of the Batman prequel series will return to Fox on the first Monday in January, but it seems that despite Jim Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie) new assignment in Arkham Asylum, he’ll still have murders to solve. According to the synopsis for episode 11, "Rogues' Gallery," a body will show up at the asylum.
Gordon’s new gig isn’t going so well if bodies are showing up, especially since this new job wasn’t supposed to involve the dead. In the midseason finale, his detective status was taken away after Lovecraft’s (Al Sapienza) murder. He took the security job at Arkham because it wasn't supposed to be too adventurous, but unfortunately for him, “the murder of a guard ignites an investigation,” the synopsis teases. A murder investigation might be the best way to reunite Gordon with Bullock (Donal Logue).
The investigation also allows him to meet Dr. Leslie Thompkins. “Homeland” actress Morena Baccarin will play the new doctor. Science fiction fans probably recognize Baccarin best for her role on the short-lived TV series "Firefly." While the synopsis doesn’t say much about her, Deadline reports that her character knew Thomas and Martha Wayne. She could potentially help Gordon’s unofficial investigation into their murder.
Penguin will be up to plenty in “Gotham” Season 1, episode 11, as well. The synopsis only says that he “continues to build his army.” Luck has been on the Penguin’s side lately, so this will likely be bad news for everyone in Gotham.
