'Gotham' Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 7 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'Penguin's Umbrella'? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
“Gotham” Season 1 episode 7 is going to make everything worse for Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie). In episode 6, the Major Crimes Unit came to arrest him for Oswald Cobblepot’s (Robin Lord Taylor) murder, but Penguin showed up at the station just in time. Unfortunately, everyone knows that Gordon lied, including the gangsters who run Gotham. Gordon won’t be able to escape the consequences for letting Penguin go, according to the synopsis for “Gotham” Season 1 episode 7.
Violence between Maroni (David Zayas) and Falcone (John Doman) will continue. However, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) will want to focus on taking down Penguin. The Penguin will reveal “a new element of his manipulative strategy,” the synopsis teases. But is it enough to scare his former boss? Fish wanted Penguin dead. Not only is he alive, but he is working for Maroni. Killing Penguin isn’t about revenge; it’s about information. “He knows things!” Fish shouts in the promo.

While Fish wants to take Penguin down, she will also be focusing on Gordon. He’ll have to “deal with the consequences of his decision to spare Penguin’s life.” The promo shows Falcone sending a killer to go after Gordon at police headquarters. Gordon is also carrying an awfully big gun in the promo video above. It might be for self defense, but it could be for Penguin. Perhaps following orders and killing Penguin will be the only way Gordon can be on good terms with the Gotham City Police Department.
“Gotham” Season 1 episode 7, titled “Penguin’s Umbrella,” airs Monday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox. Do you think Gordon will try to kill Penguin? Share your theories in the comments section below!
