‘Gotham’ Season 4 Spoilers: Fox Show Casting ‘Active, Fit’ Beachgoers

The beach scene is not one that fans would normally associate with the Fox show “Gotham,” but it looks like this will be making an appearance in Season 4 as the show’s casting call requires “active, fit” beachgoers.

According to Backstage, “Gotham” is in need of background actors aged 18 to 45 years old who are willing to don swimsuits for the show and even get in the water. The episode will be filmed on July 22 in Long Island, New York.

It is still a mystery why the show will be doing a beach scene and how it will fit into the storyline, but one thing’s for sure about Season 4: David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne is transitioning into his persona as the Batman. “Bruce really is taking on this vigilante persona and all the things that go along with that,” Mazouz earlier told Comic Book. “Whether it be creating another persona, a public persona, that’s also definitely going to be a major part of Bruce’s journey this year. His relationship as this other person. Batman is coming. Absolutely.”

Mazouz admitted that he was initially worried writers might take a step back in introducing the Batman storyline, but he was glad he was wrong. “Another thing I was worried about was we were going to get to Season 4 and the writers were going to go, ‘You know, I think we took it a little too far too fast. Let’s backtrack,’” he shared. “And the exact opposite happened. The trajectory is just continuing in that direction. I would say, I would know it’s accelerating in that direction. It’s not going to stop.”

As for Bruce’s former girlfriend, Selina Kyle, she will be embracing her Catwoman persona. Mazouz said that the two are at odds with each other, especially because of unfortunate events that would take place when the season starts. However, he teased that the relationship between “prototype Catwoman” and Bruce as a masked vigilante “will be a different thing altogether.”

When the show returns, it won’t be on its usual Monday time slot because the Fox network has decided to move it to Thursday. “Gotham” Season 4 will premiere on Sept. 28.
