‘Gotham’ Season 4 Spoilers: How Will Babs And Tabs Mentor Selina Kyle?
Let it not be said that girls do not know how to forgive and forget. Despite (unsuccessfully) killing Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) during the Season 3 finale of “Gotham,” Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) will still welcome back her former friend-turned-enemy.
In fact, the two of them will unite on the Fox drama to train a Catwoman in the making - Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova). “Yeah, Tabitha is mentoring Selina [as Season 4 begins] and then finds out that Barbara is still alive. She’s initially furious, but I think the plan is to have them come back together,” Lucas told Fansided. “I think that will be such an interesting relationship and dynamic to explore. I think Barbara is a bit more maternal and loving in the way that she teaches Selina. Tabitha is a bit more tough love.”
The two opened up their own bar last season, but they are going to venture into a new business this time around. “I will say that the girls are starting a new business,” Lucas teased. “Their new business will allow them to interact with all of the different scenes of Gotham. I would see them reacting with a lot of the villains. There’s going to be a lot of girl power and I’m really excited. I think they really want to see the women take charge separately from the men.”
As for Barbara, she is going to be completely different from the crazy villainess fans have grown to love because she is “going to be trained by Ra’s al Ghul,” Richards told Comic Book. “She’s going to be a lot more calm and centered. Still trying to fight for power in Gotham against Penguin… but with a lot more clarity this time,” she added.
Fans are hoping that Babs, Tabs and Selina’s union will mark the beginning of the Gotham City Sirens, but it looks like that will take some time. “We haven’t really dived into that yet as of right now. I think that eventually it will happen,” Bicondova told Heroic Hollywood.
“Gotham” Season 4 will premiere on Fox on Sept. 21.
