Grammy Awards 2012: Adele Delivers a Commanding Perfomance
British singer Adele delivered a commanding performance on Sunday at the 2012 Grammy Awards, leaving the audience at the Staples Center in Los Angele, Calif. to do nothing but give her a standing ovation at the end of it.
Adele's Grammy performance of her hit song Rolling in the Deep was much-anticipated. The soul singer recently recovered form a throat surgery aftr having some trouble with her vocal cords. She seems to have healed really well. The 23 year old had throat surgery in November. Adele's Rolling in the Deep is nominated for record and song of the year.
She announced late last month via her Twitter account, that she was going to perform at the Grammys.
Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx, Adele tweeted.
Adele is nominated for six awards. She collected the first award of the telecast, best pop solo performance for Someone Like You. Adele later returned to the stage and accepted the award for song of the year for Rolling in the Deep. She now has a total of four Grammys, as she won two others in a pre-telecast ceremony. She won for Best Short Form Music Video, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.
