Grammy Awards 2021: Watch The 5 Best Performances From Harry Styles To BTS
The 2021 Grammy Awards was a socially-distanced soirée filled with musical performances and jaw-dropping moments. While plenty of awards were handed out, the entertainment by far made up the most memorable parts of the night.
Although each artist that took to the Grammys stage proved they were worthy, five stood out for their unique performances.
Harry Styles - “Watermelon Sugar”
Styles opened the night with the hit song, which later won him the Grammy for best pop solo performance. While Styles’ performance was riveting, his green boa was the real star. However, he did ditch it toward the end of the number to show off some of his funky dance moves.
Taylor Swift - “Cadigan” / “August” / “Willow”
Following some jaw-dropping performances, Swift added a mellow element to the night with her medley of “Cardigan,” “August,” and “Willow.” The singer also won album of the year thanks to “Folklore,” making her the first woman in history to win the award three times.
BTS - “Dynamite”
The K-pop band’s performance from Seoul helped liven up the evening and was aesthetically pleasing. From their solid dance moves to the artistic background, BTS’ performance was essentially flawless.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion - “Up” / “WAP”
Between the stripper pole, the giant bed, and raunchy choreography, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s performance oozed sex appeal. While each rapper was able to grab the attention of the audience during their solos, the two became an instant powerhouse when they joined forces on stage for “WAP.”
Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) - “Leave the Door Open”
The duo came together to perform the song for the first time against a starry background. The performance comes after Mars tweeted out an open letter to award show organizers earlier this month, asking for stage time.
“If you can see it in your hearts to allow two out of work musicians to perform at your show, we would really appreciate it. We just released a song and could really use the promotion right now,” Mars tweeted.
