Grand Theft Auto 6 In The Works For Years Now, Mexican Actor Leaks Character

It seems Grand Theft Auto 6 is really in the works, and fans may have just discovered the first character in the game.

While the next iteration of the most popular open-world franchise has not been confirmed and information remains scarce, a new leak from a Mexican actor may have just confirmed the rumors and given fans an idea about one of its characters.

Jorge Consejo, a renowned Mexican actor who has starred in several TV shows in his home country, reportedly listed a role in Grand Theft Auto 6 in his resume (per Dexerto). While he doesn’t have any prior voice acting experience, he noted that he will be playing a character named “The Mexican” in the upcoming GTA installment by Rockstar Games.

Another tidbit worth mentioning is that Consejo listed that he has been working in the GTA role since 2018, suggesting that the game has been in the works for some time now.

Interestingly, the actor didn’t deny the speculations and just said he cannot talk about his projects due to contractual obligations. While he did not specifically mention the Grand Theft Auto 6 role, it is believed he is referring to that given the sequence of events.

“Dear friends, while I read every message from you, please know that because of contract stipulations sometimes I’m unable to comment on certain projects. Please don’t feel ignored or unseen. I appreciate and value every single one of you,” Consejo wrote on Twitter.

There has been a huge clamor for the next GTA installment, especially years after the release of Grand Theft Auto V – unarguably one of the biggest games out in the market. However, there is also no doubt that there are high expectations for the sequel to the latest game.

GTA V has been universally acclaimed and has been praised as one of the best games of its generation, with a lot of publications praising its storytelling, open-world design and technical achievements that are like no other.

While Rockstar is yet to comment about this rumor and confirm the development of Grand Theft Auto 6, the new character and information come as welcome news for fans waiting for a new GTA game for years.
