Grandma Zombie Rises From the 'Dead' After Six Days
A 95-year-old grandmother has risen from the dead. Li Xiufeng, a Chinese woman can say that she beat death. Xiufneng pulled a move straight out of a zombie film, and climbed out of her coffin after being 'dead' for six days.
To start from the beginning of the woman's 'road to hell' and back, Xiufeng was found motionless and not breathing by a neighbor. The woman, a couple days beforehand, had suffered a head injury after tripping in her home. According to the UK Mirror, after trying to move the woman and calling her name, Xiufeng's neighbor, Chen Qingwang, believed her to be dead.
I felt something was wrong, so I tried her breath, and she has gone, but her body is still not cold, said Qingwang.
Xiufeng was placed in a coffin on Feb. 19 and kept in her house for a couple days in order for family and friends to pay respects. Qingwang had decided against nailing the coffin shut, and according to the UK Mirror, came into her house the day before the funeral to find the coffin empty.
We were so terrified, and immediately asked the neighbors to come for help, said Qingwang to the UK Mirror. Was the man terrified that someone had stolen the body? Or was he perhaps frightened that his frail old neighbor had risen with a hunger for human flesh?
Fortunately no one had to look far for the gran-ombie or zomgranie because she was found cooking in the kitchen and very much alive.
I slept for a long time. After waking up, I felt so hungry, and wanted to cook something to eat, Xiufeng reportedly told her neighbors. Luckily for them it wasn't human meat she was hungry for.
Doctors believe that Xiufeng suffered an artificial death, said the UK Mirror. During an artificial death a person may stop breathing, but their body remains warm.
Unfortunately for the woman who cheated death, she couldn't cheat tradition. All her belongings were burned, due to the tradition of burning belongings after a person passes on.
