The Green Bay Packers are no longer undefeated, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 34-27 on “Thursday Night Football.” By suffering their first loss of the 2019 NFL season to kick off Week 4, Green Bay no longer sits atop the NFC North.

The Detroit Lions have taken over first place in the NFL’s best division. Detroit remains undefeated at 2-0-1. The Lions have consecutive wins over the Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers after tying the Arizona Cardinals in the season opener.

Every NFC North team sits above .500 at the start of Week 4. The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears are both 2-1. The two rivals are set to play each other at Soldier Field Sunday afternoon.

The Packers beat both the Bears and Vikings in the first two weeks of the season.

Green Bay’s hot start had been highlighted by one of the league’s best defenses. The Packers surrendered 35 total points in the first three games of the season. The Eagles nearly matched that total Thursday night.

Aaron Rodgers threw for a season-high 422 yards against Philadelphia. He only totaled 647 yards in the first three games.

The NFC North has had a different champion in each of the last three years.

Chicago won the division title in 2018 with a 12-4 record before getting upset by Philadelphia on Wild-Card Weekend. Minnesota took the NFC North crown in 2017, making it all the way to the conference championship game. Green Bay last won the division in 2016.

Detroit is looking for its first NFC North title in 26 years. The Lions finished in last place a year ago with a 6-10 record.

The Lions’ stay atop the division might not last beyond the weekend. Detroit will host Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs are 3-0 with a plus-37 point differential.

Detroit is a 6.5-point home underdog against Kansas City, according to the latest betting line at OddsShark. Chicago is favored by two points over Minnesota.

The loser in the contest between the Bears and Vikings will take over sole possession of last place in the division.
