The Green Lantern held its premiere in Hollywood on June 15. The film, which is out on Friday, June 17, is about a test pilot who is granted a mysterious green ring that gives him super powers. The pilot is also granted membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace in the universe. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern and Blake Lively as Carol Ferris. Also in the film are Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Jenna Craig and Mike Doyle. The film was directed by Martin Campbell who also directed The Mask of Zoro, Casino Royale and Edge of Darkness. The Green Lantern will be released on Friday, June 17.
