Greg Anthony Suspended: Twitter Reacts To CBS Analyst’s Arrest For Prostitution Solicitation

CBS Sports suspended longtime college basketball and NBA analyst Greg Anthony for the rest of the season after he was arrested for soliciting prostitution in Washington, D.C. Friday.
CBS responded to Reuters in an email announcing Anthony’s suspension Saturday.
"Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season," the email read.
D.C. affiliate WJLA first reported Anthony’s arrest Friday night, stating he was detained at 5:46 p.m. and faces misdemeanor charges that could be punishable by up to 180 days in jail.
Anthony was in the D.C. area to call the Michigan State-Maryland matchup Saturday.
News of the former New York Knick's arrest and his suspension quickly hit social media, where fans and Anthony’s colleagues expressed feelings of dismay and shock. Others called the suspension hypocritical and even questioned whether prostitution should be illegal.
CBS is so hypocritical. That prostitute did the same thing to Greg Anthony that Jim Nantz does to Mike Krzyzewski on air.

The Greg Anthony prostitute story is brutal for cbs. Most conservative of the networks. http://t.co/vLCHD1aLRL pic.twitter.com/uOmnkt6OdU

I assume all other crime in DC has been eradicated if authorities there have time to lock Greg Anthony up because he wanted to pay for it.

Greg Anthony was busted for it, but his soliciting of a prostitute was one of the best scoring attempts by a #Knicks player all season.

Greg Anthony has a wife and a daughter

Only thing I care about in the Greg Anthony story is if the prostitute was out working on her own free will and not being viciously pimped.

I can’t tell you how much I wish I could trade “Greg Anthony” for “Len Elmore” in that breaking news story today

Only thing keeping me awake is my thirst for Greg Anthony’s mugshot.

I'd like to clarify my stance on Greg Anthony: the undercover cop prostitute was an 8 or higher it's 100% entrapment. Lower than a 7=guilty

Greg Anthony called his first Final Four for CBS and Turner just last year.
