‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Actor Jesse Williams Welcomes Second Child With Wife Aryn Drake-Lee, Couple Stays Quiet About Baby's Birth

The “Grey’s Anatomy” family just got a little bigger! Jesse Williams, who portrays Jackson on the hit ABC medical drama, and his wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, welcomed their second child together nearly two months ago, according to reports. The duo, however, has refrained from commenting on the birth of their child.

Us Weekly confirmed the exciting news, adding that a source revealed to the outlet that the couple named their son Maceo. Does that name sound familiar? Well, in 2013 actress Halle Berry and her husband Oliver Martinez named their baby Maceo, too. According to reports, the name means "Gift of God" and is of Spanish origins.

"They are really excited and this was something they really wanted," an insider told E! News after it was revealed the couple was expecting in June. "They are a very private couple and they like to keep this kind of news to just close family and friends."

The birth of their son turns William’s family into a foursome. Drake-Lee gave birth to Sadie, the duo’s first child together, in December 2013 – nearly a year after the twosome tied the knot. The long-time couple said “I do” on Sept. 1, 2012.

"Jesse was beaming with joy throughout the entire ceremony," a guest at the couple’s Los Angeles wedding told People magazine in 2012. "It was the perfect night with lots of smiling, laughing and emotion. You could feel the love they have for each other. They're madly in love!"

Williams bolstered that comment when he dished to USA Today in 2010 just how grateful he was to have Drake-Lee in his life.

“She’s been with me through all difference facets of my career,” Williams, who got his big break in the 2008 film “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2,” said. “She’s stuck with me through thick and thick and thick and thin. We know each other in and out.”

But that wasn’t the only time Williams gushed about his wife to the press. In 2009, the actor told People magazine that he admires his wife’s independence and drive. “She is her own person,” he spoke of the real estate agent. “Being intelligent and self-made is a big deal for me.”

Williams can be seen on “Grey’s Anatomy,” which is currently airing season 12 of the ABC series, on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. EDT.
