Can you say sister-in-law rivalry? Things are going to get pretty heated between Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) in the coming episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” -- and we can’t say we’re surprised.

Amelia has been bottling up her true feelings about the death of Derek (Patrick Dempsey) for quite some time. But according to a sneak peek clip from episode 24 of Season 11, the tight-lipped doctor will finally let loose in “Time Stops.”

Derek’s youngest sister will confront Meredith in Thursday night’s episode, and let’s just say their conversation won't be amicable.

“You don’t talk to me about a lot of things,” Amelia begins the conversation in the minute-long teaser.

Initially, Meredith thinks her sister-in-law is upset that she packed up her things and her children (following the death of her husband) and fled Seattle. But Amelia couldn't care less about Mer’s mini-vacation or the fact she was left in the dark about Meredith’s whereabouts. Amelia actually is upset with her brother's widow because Mer made the decision to take the brain-dead doctor off life support without consulting anyone -- not even her neurosurgeon sister-in-law.

“You didn’t call me. I’m a neurosurgeon. I could have saved him, and you didn’t call me,” Amelia says.

Meredith responds that there’s nothing Amelia could have done to save Derek’s life. “He was too far gone,” she says.

Amelia fires back fiercely that she’s pulled off miracles before and that maybe, just maybe, she could have saved her brother. But that’s just the beginning of Amelia’s rant. She’s also upset that Mer neglected to even inform her of his death. (Owen [Kevin McKidd] is the one who actually broke the news to Amelia that Derek had died.)

“Who contacted you first? The police? The paramedics? How far away was the hospital? How long were you sitting there, waiting for them to declare him brain-dead? How many hours later was before I was even informed? How many chances did you have when you could have called me? Why didn’t you call me?” she asks.

Because Meredith took Derek off life support (without consulting his family), Amelia feels she missed her chance to say goodbye.
